Fraser Island
Important information about Fraser Island Bookings
Unfortunately QLD law prohibits rental vehicles on Fraser Island carrying anything on the roof, including a roof top tent. This does not apply to privately owned vehicles, only rental vehicles.
This rule does not affect our Toyota Landcruiser and Hilux Trayon 4WD's and they are permitted to travel to Fraser Island without modification.
Hilux Adventure and Jeep Gladiator are permitted to travel to Fraser Island however we must remove the roof top tents and awning and will supply you with quality ground tents as an alternative. Note this is not an option for one-way rentals. Please contact us if you book a one-way rental in a Gladiator or Adventure and also plan to visit Fraser Island.
Hilux Outback is not set-up to travel to Fraser Island.
Please give us a call, email or message if you would like more info or to discuss.

Vehicle Supply Policy
Sometimes, there may be circumstances outside of our control and yours that lead to Overlander not being able to supply you with the make or model of the vehicle you have booked or in rare circumstances, we may be unable to supply you with a vehicle at all.
Unable to supply Make/Model
Whilst we will always do our best, Overlander does not guarantee the make or model of the vehicle you have booked. We do not offer refunds or discounts in this circumstance, other than a lower rate if it is applicable.
Unable to supply any vehicle
In rare circumstances, we may not be able to supply you with a vehicle at all. For example if one of our vehicles is involved in an accident or suffers major damage just prior to your hire and we are fully booked during a peak period.
In this instance, we will attempt to find a substitute vehicle which is of similar quality and configuration to the one you have booked and if we are unable to do so we will offer you a refund of 100% of any monies paid to us (excluding vehicle permits or other 3rd party fees, if already paid by us).
Overlander will not reimburse you for any out-of-pocket expenses (such as airfares or other travel costs). As such, we strongly recommend that you take out Travel Insurance prior to your booking date.

Standard Damage Cover is included with your rental at no extra cost. Please see the table below for full summary of your cover, including Damage Cover Exclusions.
How does the Damage Excess work?
For each 'event' of damage or each accident you must pay the 'Damage Excess'.
The 'Damage Excess' is the a total of the following (where applicable):
Standard Excess - $5,000 - Payable for each separate event of damage or accident;
plus +
Off-Road Excess - $5,000 - payable in addition to the Standard Excess, if the damage or accident happened whilst using the vehicle 'Off-Road';
plus +
Night Driving Excess - $5,000 - payable in addition to the Standard and 'Off-Road' Excesses, if the damage or accident is caused by a collision with or attempting to avoid a collision with wildlife, whilst driving the vehicle between sunset and sunrise as defined by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.
Example: If you have Standard Damage Cover and you have an accident off-road, your Damage Excess will be $10,000. This is the Standard Excess ($5,000) PLUS the 'Off-Road' Excess ($5,000).
Important things to note:
