Drivers Licence
What drivers licence is required?
If your Australian living in Australia have a Australian full and current driver's license.
Drivers must be over 25 years of age.
Once booked - We also require photos of your driver’s licence. If there is a second driver, I also need a copy of their licence on file as well (both sides).
Overseas Licence
Licence - I have a overseas drivers license?
A current and full motor vehicle driver’s licence is required and must be produced upon vehicle collection. Should a foreign licence be in a language other then English it must be accompanied by a current international driving permit issued in the same country as the driver’s licence was issued. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit. Drivers must be 25 years of age or over.
Courtesy pickup from the airport
Is there a courtesy pickup from the airport to the pickup depot locations
No you will have to make your own way to the pickup depot location using for example Uber, Taxi or Licensed Private Hire Cars.
Pick up hours and Drop off hours
When can I collect my rentals and drop it off?
If we have a vehicle here they can collect ad early as they like, and drop off as late as they like.
Generally we say collection at 8am and return at 4pm though.

Can you hold my quote?
At the time of quoting, we have a camper available for your requested dates, however if there is a delay between quoting and booking we cannot guarantee your dates are still available. At request we can hold your quoted dates for 48 hours.

Cancellations
What is the suppliers cancellations policy?

Cancellation fees apply, please take out ADEQUATE PRIVATE TRAVEL INSURANCE. Our Cancellation Policy can be seen on our Terms and Conditions
For written notice of cancellations received, all booking cancellations incur at least a 20% cancellation fee. The 20% deposit required to secure the booking is non-refundable for all reservations. The percentage applicable depends upon when the written notice of cancellation provided and is calculated in accordance with the following, less a booking administration fee of $100.
a) Cancelled 60+ days prior to pick up date a fee of 20% of confirmed price of the rental.
b) Cancelled 30 – 59 days prior to pick up date a fee of 50% of confirmed price of the rental.
c) Cancelled 2 – 29 days prior to pick up date a fee of 90% of confirmed price of rental.
d) Cancelled 1 day or No Show 100% of confirmed rental price.

Excess and Bond
What type of insurance do I require – is it included in the cost?
The security liability deposit bond you have nominated ($5000, $2500 or $1000) will be processed the day before your pick up on the card you have provided for the hire fees. If you would like the bond processed on a different card, or want to pay this via direct debit, please notify us at least 4 days prior to collecting the vehicle. Security liability deposit bonds paid with credit cards incur a surcharge (Visa & Mastercard 1.5% , AMEX 2.6%) which does not get refunded when the bond is released.
When hiring our vehicles you need to select which security liability bond amount you would like to proceed with. This amount is also the Insurance Excess amount if any damages occur to the vehicle during your hire. Our insurance does not include windscreen, underbody or tyre damage.
Security Liability Bonds are held and are refundable as per our Terms and Conditions and in AUD.
The 2 Security Liability Bonds/ Excess Reduction option amounts offered by Adventure Rentals for each vehicle type:
Mitsubishi Pajero & Toyota Prado
Standard Liability Bond of $5000 Five Thousand Dollars. or
Security Liability Reduction Bond of $500 Five Hundred Dollars, with a payment of $60 Sixty Dollars per day. Includes: one windscreen replacement, two tyre replacements, single vehicle accident coverage and vehicle retrieval and recovery costs up to $5,000.
Toyota Hilux
Standard Liability Bond of $5000 Five Thousand Dollars. or
Security Liability Reduction Bond of $500 Five Hundred Dollars, with a payment of $75 Seventy Five Dollars per day. Includes: one windscreen replacement, two tyre replacements, single vehicle accident coverage and vehicle retrieval and recovery costs up to $5,000.

Adventure Rentals accept visa and Mastercard EFT payments and UnionPay.
Credit cards incur a surcharge (Visa & Mastercard 1.5% , American Express 2.6%).

Do I require a permit to enter Arnhem Land?
Yes. The Northern Land Council administer the permit system, which is designed to help protect the privacy of Aboriginal communities, preserve Aboriginal culture, safeguard the natural environment and promote visitor safety. Please be aware a permit may take up to 10 days to process.

Battery jumper leads
Do the vehicles come with Battery jumper leads?
A: No we do not. We do not want our customers touching this on our vehicle. All of our vehicles come with NRMA Roadside Assistance. We instruct our customers to call their number should they run into any issues. NRMA will then fix the flat battery or find a solution to assist customer.
