When and Where? The race traditionally begins on Boxing Day and proceeds over the following 3 to 4 days. Winners of the race usually cross the finish line (in Hobart, Tasmania) in less than 48 hours. The race starts in Sydney Harbour and ends in Hobart's Constitution Dock.
If your taking a holiday and renting a motorhome in Tasmania to see the finish of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race you will find most if not all of the campervan and motorhome hire places at Christmas are only in Hobart. Also usually a 10 day minimum hire from Dec 15 till Feb 15 each year.
