Suggest you download the Uber app before you go. I found the chap at the Uber stand at Melbourne Domestic Airport very helpful and downloaded it onto my phone for me. What I didn't like about Uber was they didn't take cash and took payment from my debit card as I'm an old type cash person. So I took taxi's back to the airport from the hotel at the end of my trips.
